„Pipeline“
The „Pipeline“, a big aquarium for native Danube fish, is to be erected directly on the bank of the Danube at Saxingerstrasse. Visitors see the regulated river as a waterway here; there seems to be hardly any habitat for fish anymore. In fact the Danube still has an astounding wealth of fish: the project „Pipeline“ affords a look at this hidden underwater life. Visitors are invited to let themselves be comforted by the beauty of the fishes’ movements and quiet glances. The view to the Pfenningberg opposite, emphasized by the „greeting from the Mühlviertel“ conveys the feeling of beeing underway in a big garden.
