The idea of paradise as an enclosed geometrically shaped garden as opposed to the chaotic wilderness “outside” is thousands of years old – reaching back into ancient Persia. Starting from this ideal, the geometry of modern sports grounds could develop into a garden that serves both sports and viewing. Heroes of the decathlon will be shown in works of art.
